Goxhill club bowled over with National Grid funding

How we've helped Goxhill Bowls Club upgrade their facilities

Back in summer 2018 Goxhill Bowls Club secured £4,000 of funding from National Grid’s Community Grant Programme – a fund designed for community organisations and charities in areas affected by our works.

The club, located in the heart of Goxhill village, had a problem. They needed to remove a large hedge that not only required costly regular pruning, but also did a good job of blocking spectator’s views. The solution?…replace the hedge with a fence.

Fast forward six months and the club now has a new six-foot wooden fence which improves the visual appearance of the club, provides more space for spectators and does away with expensive maintenance costs.
